This is the work carried out by the artisans we have chosen. Piumarte embodies the experience of skilled goose down craftsmen, combined with the sartorial tradition of Tuscany.

We want to ensure that every intrinsic characteristic is preserved. Only experience, mastery, and specialised expertise can transform scarves, sleeping bags, duvets, and quilts into products whose quality is immediately visible and unmistakable to the touch: lightweight, soft, and enveloping — designed to deliver the desired level of warmth.

To achieve this, Piumarte has chosen as its partner the historic Tuscan company Cinelli Piume e Piumini, processing goose down since 1964.

FILLING POWER

È l'indicatore del rapporto peso/volume del fiocco, misurato in pollici cubi. Più il valore è alto, più il fiocco è voluminoso, leggero ed impalpabile. I nostri piumini hanno valori di filling power molto elevati, per questo sono pregiati: soffici e caldi imbottiti di fiocchi impercettibile e vaporosi. Non pesano addosso e riscaldano il corpo facendolo traspirare.

IMBOTTITURA

Piumarte utilizza esclusivamente le migliori materie prime: piume e piumini degli allevamenti di oche che hanno la più antica e rinomata tradizione nel settore, quelli dell'est Europa (ungheresi, polacchi, ucraini e romeni). Qui gli animali sono allevati in condizioni climatiche e di benessere tali da favorirne una crescita sana e corretta, che influisce positivamente sulla qualità del piumaggio. Le oche adulte europee infatti vantano un piumaggio migliore, più grande, compatto, soffice, setoso e flessibile. Questa qualità consentono di trattenere la stessa quantità di calore con una minore quantità di prodotto. L'imbottitura fa un percorso di 6 step fondamentali che conferiscono la qualità Piumarte: 1 prima sterilizzazione 2 analisi di laboratorio 3 separazione tra piuma e piumino 4 eliminazione delle impurità 5 lavaggio 6 seconda e ultima sterilizzazione

FASE FINALE DI LAVORAZIONE

Appena pronto, aspiriamo il piumino con canali aerei e lo chiudiamo in sacchi speciali. Da ora non avrà più contatti esterni perché passerà direttamente dal sacco all’interno della fodera della trapunta o del piumone, rispettando le più severe norme igieniche. Segue la fase della trapuntatura, fondamentale per preservare al meglio le caratteristiche del piumone e per confezionare un’imbottitura in grado di mantenere costanti la temperatura ed il calore. L’imbottitura è distribuita in modo uniforme tra i due teli di tessuto e poi racchiusa in quadri sigillati. La trapuntatura che usiamo è di due tipi: - A passante (fix-step) dove due teli sono cuciti tra loro - A cassetta (karo-step) dove due teli sono legati tra loro tramite “fettucce” di tessuto (i distanziatori). Le fettucce fanno in modo che lo spessore del piumone sia più omogeneo, per un calore costante ed avvolgente.
